Conundrum Farms is celebrating the April 8 eclipse with an all-ages party in Crowley, just 15 minutes south of Fort Worth. The event will include ISO-certified glasses, family-friendly eclipse activities, and beverages and space snacks. Come enjoy one of the greatest outdoor events this century at the farm’s beautiful setting and be part of its mission to bring people together.

USA Today calls the total solar eclipse “an astronomical experience like no other that will be unusually accessible to millions of people.” Total solar eclipses like this one plunge the world into darkness for a few minutes in the middle of the day. The feeling inspires awe and tends to make viewers feel “part of collective,” according to a study of millions of viewers of a 2017 eclipse. What better place to celebrate this than with the Conundrum Collective of nonprofit organizations, working together and “nurturing a healthier planet, one seed at a time”?

The April 8 eclipse event will include family-friendly solar eclipse activities, ISO-certified glasses for eclipse viewing, a short farm tour at 11:30 for anyone who would like to join. The time of total be 1:41 p.m. Restrooms are available onsite but parking is limited, and participants are encouraged to carpool as much a possible. The farm will have some seating and blankets (first come, first serve) but feel free to also bring picnics and picnic blankets or lawn chairs. Please leave pets at home.

The venue was beautiful and interesting and the event was well organized and fun for all ages. There were fun learning activities for kids, delicious food, live music, and a wide range of lawn games for all ages. But most importantly, the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Do not pass up the opportunity to attend future events. I’m so glad that we were fortunate enough to attend.

Conundrum Farms

Just 15 minutes from downtown, where the city skyline fades into the Fort Worth Prairie Park, sits Conundrum Farms. A thriving, regenerative, no-till, organic farm, that grows a variety of healthy produce through the shared work of our non-profit partners, supporters and volunteers.

But Conundrum Farms is not just about cultivating crops; it is also about cultivating connections. Connections with the earth, nature, food, and most importantly, each other. Conundrum Farms is that “third place” - not home, not work, but a place where people can meet, talk and laugh together while growing healthy food, fostering friendships, and rediscovering the simple joy of belonging.
