Enjoy a special night out at Sledge Distillery, a popular North Texas craft distillery known for its small-batch, oak-barrel-finished spirits. This unique, adults only event combines the sweetness of honey tasting, an engaging beekeeping discussion and craft cocktails featuring locally produced honey.
Event Happenings
- Honey Tasting & Beekeeping Talk: The evening features Jeremy Campbell, an expert beekeeper who will share interesting facts about bees, fascinating beekeeping stories, show off his observational beehive, and answer as many of your questions as possible. Afterward, he’ll lead a honey tasting, allowing you to sample and learn about different types of honey.
- Craft Cocktails: Each guest will receive a complimentary “The Bee-Buzzing Drink Special,” a delicious artisan cocktail made with local honey, the perfect accompaniment to the tasting experience.
- Shopping & Socializing: After the tasting, you’ll have the chance to purchase select honeys from local producers while mingling on the covered outdoor porch.
- Observational Beehive: Get a close-up view of Jeremy’s fascinating beehive, learning even more about these incredible creatures.

The Sledge family has been in Hood County for generations. One driving force behind their spirits is a deep love for family, friends, and country. When you step foot in the distillery, it is obvious this is a group of friends with deep Granbury roots choosing to work together for fun. It translates into their products, the atmosphere of events, and private parties. Once you have been to the distillery, you are part of their distillery family. When you visit, you will be treated as friends upon arrival, but when you leave, expect a big hug knowing you are family.
The Sledge family crafts spirits along with a crew of childhood friends on a family ranch 10 miles southwest of Granbury, TX. They grind locally raised grain, cook their own mash and invite you to come taste the distinctive flavor of a cherished Sledge family tradition. In a time where craft distilling is tempted to take delivery and bottle with a custom label, their spirits are truly hand-crafted from start to finish in small batches and finished in new oak barrels.
