Visit a small, private green space in McKinney and enjoy an amazing flower cutting garden of carefully curated native and specialty cut-flowers.  Experience the art and science of floriculture in practice and take home a lovely bouquet.

Captivated by the idea of a backyard cutting garden, picturing yourself gathering bouquets for your home decor?  Did you feel you may have to move to another state, to realize this day dream?  Come and see what your Texas cottage garden can look like!

Learn About Flower Cutting

Learn about cut-flowers from a local special event floral designer while collecting your own beautiful bouquet in an exceptional, private green space.  This is an opportunity to see some of the best flowering plant varieties for Texas heat and pick a bouquet in the height of bloom. You’ll also be introduced to a ‘rose of another name’ – a rose-like flower thriving in the July heat. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn how to gather and harvest sunflowers if you choose, for an additional fee.

This event is hosted by the owner who uses her intimate knowledge of plants to plan seasonal blooms in such a way as to celebrate varieties that thrive even in July and throughout the summer!

Get Inspiration for Your Own Garden

This garden is not only practical for beautiful cut-flowers, it demonstrates how plantings can be esthetically and artfully arranged to enhance your backyard.

Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for children age 13 and under (children must be accompanied by an adult).  Ticket price includes the event and all the cuttings you can fit in the (one) large cup provided (as pictured).
