Go Beyond the Patch: Exclusive Fall Ag Curriculum at Home

With the $13 ticket price for all pumpkin patch attendees, you will receive a curated toolbox of resources in October to kick off the month. This resource kit will include activities and educational resources for all ages on topics such as:

  • where pumpkins came from
  • where and how pumpkins grow
  • how we can use pumpkins
  • what happens to them after the holidays
  • what other types of crops we grow in the fall
  • pumpkin recipes you can make together
  • a pumpkin art project

This curriculum has been curated by Delve Experiences, which works with local farms across Texas to offer educational experiences.

You will also be invited to 2 options for webinars where your learners can discuss these topics with others with structured facilitation. These webinars will be facilitated by Kristin Song, a former educator and founder of Delve Experiences, and a local mom who loves teaching.

Real Life Fun with Friends

Then on October 23, beginning at 2:30, your family can join other DFW Homeschoolers #FieldTripFridays friends in real life at the pumpkin patch. The Blase Family Farm has been a staple of fall fun in North Texas since 2011.

Your ticket to the pumpkin patch gets you fun time with friends and the following activities:

  • Petting zoo with signs to learn about each animal
  • Haymaze
  • Spookily Storyboards in a wooded walking trail (Spookley is the official spokes pumpkin for PACER’s National Anti-Bullying Program, teaching lessons of kindness)
  • Lifecycle storyboards along the trail, discussing how a pumpkin grows
  • Hayride
  • Pick a small pumpkin to take home
  • Scavenger hunt

You can also purchase larger pumpkins and food onsite.

Additionally, if you would like to be introduced to other families based on location or children ages, please let us know and we’re happy to help make connections through this field trip!
