Educate and entertain a group through Mushroom Street Farms’ cooking demonstrations. Mushroom Street grows gourmet and medicinal mushrooms in an urban micro-farm with a high-tech lab located in the suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth Texas. They offer cooking demonstrations throughout the DFW area for groups, and travel to your location.  

Exact menus can be customized per event, but some favorites have included mushroom mac and cheese, or making a mushroom sauce to accompany a catered event. These mycophiles share their wisdom about flavor nuances, sustainability and health advantages of their favorite fungi. The demonstration offers participants a chance to appreciate the flavor of of mushrooms, and a custom look into all the ways mushrooms can be used in cooking. Fresh and dried mushrooms, mushroom spices and mushroom powder are available for purchase separately.

To submit a booking request, ensure you have counter/table space for the demonstration and seating for the intended audience (typically 15-30 people). A functional kitchen is helpful but not required. Select a time window, and add any notes about the request. We’ll review and reach out to confirm the details of the event as well as pricing. A reservation fee of $250 will be due upon confirmation, and final pricing will depend on location, date, and other requirements. Note that demonstrations typically last about 1.5 hours, set within the time window requested.

Mushroom Street Farms Urban Cultivators grows gourmet and medicinal mushrooms in its high-tech lab and indoor urban micro-farm in the suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

The farm started as a family passion project during the COVID pandemic and has evolved into a full-fledged production facility. Mushroom Street manufactures its own grow substrate, and it specializes in wood-loving mushroom species for gourmet culinary use.

Mushroom Street staff enjoy cultivating fellow mycophiles through sharing why they love their fungi. Their experiences also focus on their high-tech approach to cultivation for culinary and homeopathic use.
