Product Description
Go behind the glass with this grain-to-glass beer experience at Reviving Real Foods Ranch. The experience includes 4 steps and can be customized to your party’s wishes.
Step 1: Recipe Consultation. We’ll ask you many questions about what you want out of the experience and your brew, and from there we’ll chart a course to make it happen. Questions will include:
- What is the goal of the experience? (testing commercial viability, for fun of experience, somewhere in between?)
- How much do you know/want to be involved in knowing the recipe?
- What style do you wish to brew?
- Is this derived from a recipe or from a desire to mimic a favorite commercial beer?
- Who is the target audience for the beer?
- What should we name the beer?
- How much beer is desired from the opening party? Typically batches in this experience will result in roughly 57.5 gallons of beer (3.75 full kegs). Any more than this will require a double batching.
- What is the cost of the recipe? We can go through whether this is a premium or low cost offering.
- What is the price point for the beer for retail, and what is the price point of the beer for wholesale? We can discuss the difference and how we can cover costs. Some beers are not commercially viable at wholesale pricing. Some are perfect for the model.
Step 2: Brew Day. [This one will be described in more detail later. But the Brew Day will be all of the steps involved in brewing.] We estimate that the time for this brew day would be between 5 and 7 hours. Depending on the quantity of people involved, there will be available Farm to Table Food Options. Prior to this event, all ingredients and pre-made items will be done before the you arrive for the Experience.
Optional Add-Ons. Bring the Family Farm Day.
- Heating Water
- Dough In
- Mashing
- Sparging
- Boiling
- Chilling
- Transfer to Fermenter
- Pitching Yeast
Step 3: Packaging Day (Optional). This is the filling of the 4-5 kegs of beer. This day will go quite quickly, as the beer will be done and all cleaning/sanitizing will be completed before Customer Arrival. This beer is finished package and will be ready to tap/sell in short order. It usually will take a small amount of time for the keg to reach its settled CO2 levels, so it would not likely be available on tap that same day. But you will be able to taste at this stage.
Step 4: Release Party. This is the day that the waiting and working comes together in fun and excitement. The beer will flow at the location of choice and the Customer will be able to give the statement “O’zapt Is”, or It is tapped.
