Event Information
This farm field trip in Bowie, northwest of DFW, offers learners of all ages both hands-on learning about agriculture, as well as good old-fashioned farm games. For this field trip, Reviving Real Foods Ranch is combining its Farm Fun Camp experience with its 5-star Introduction to Rotational Grazing experience. This 2-hour experience lets kids meet a wide variety of animals and get firsthand experience with regenerative farming principles – but your kids won’t even know they’re learning amid all the interactive activities and play.
Reviving Real Foods is one of DFW’s most popular market vendors, and is known for their regenerative methods and high-quality meat, dairy and eggs. This “E-I-E-I-O” farm raises cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, pigs, horses, dogs, and rabbits.
Final activities for this field trip will be customized based on final group size and ages, but will include a scavenger hunt through all the animals, the popular Goat Dress-up Challenge, and plenty of animal petting time. Upon group confirmation, Delve staff will reach out to get ages of children or any special considerations so the farm can plan accordingly.
Reviving Real Foods also offers a variety of experiences for people of all backgrounds to learn about regenerative agriculture, rural life, and homesteading skills, and are consistently rated a favorite among visitors. Read a collection of recent reviews from other visitors, including other homeschoolers.
This hands-on experience is for all ages, though children under 4 need to be under the very close supervision of their accompanying adults. The experience can be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather, and will be held rain or shine.
