Bring a Real Beekeeper to Your School

Pollinators are a favorite topic in science units—and now your students can meet a real beekeeper without ever leaving campus. Jeremy Campbell’s mobile honeybee presentation is one of our most-loved educational experiences, designed for schools, preschools, and camps across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

This isn’t a slideshow in the gym. Students get to see live bees in a secure observation hive, explore real tools used by beekeepers, try on a beekeeping hood, and test their skills at spotting the queen bee in a busy hive. Even the squirmiest second grader can’t help but lean in when they see bees moving in real time.

It’s a hands-on experience that sparks curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and opens students’ eyes to careers and ecosystems they may have never considered. Jeremy’s engaging storytelling style—along with his deep knowledge, kindness, and sense of humor—makes science approachable and memorable for every age group.

TEKS & Curriculum Alignment

This program supports key Texas TEKS standards for elementary science—particularly Grade 2 science, where students “explain and demonstrate how some plants depend on other living things… for pollination.” It also reinforces essential observational science skills, ecosystem awareness, and the role of organisms within their environment—making it a seamless fit for science curricula across multiple grade levels.

Tips for a Great On‑Campus Experience

To make the most of this visit, here’s what works best for schools in the DFW region and beyond:

✅ Best for 1–2 grades at a time, rotating classes individually to keep sessions interactive and focused

✅ Up‑close setting only – Not suitable for large gyms or auditoriums

✅ Presentations work well indoors or in shaded outdoor spaces

✅ Just provide a table and chairs; Jeremy brings everything else—including educational materials, gear, and a live observation hive

✅ No special gear needed by students—bees are securely enclosed the entire time

Age Group Recommendations

Preschool & Early Learners: Short and sweet works best—10–15 minute sessions in small groups with hands-on visuals

Elementary (Grades K–5): 15–30 minute sessions with room for exploration, questions, and energy

Older Students (Grades 6+): Up to 45 minutes with deeper dives into biology, ecosystems, and bee behavior—perfect for science blocks or enrichment

Tried and Loved by Teachers

This experience has earned glowing feedback from educators across schools and programs in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex:

  1. “Everything went smoothly. The kiddos had such a great time and truly enjoyed themselves!”
  2. “Jeremy is a wonderful presenter!”
  3. “The kids were so engaged and inquisitive! Thank you, Jeremy, for your wonderful presentation and for being so patient and answering every single question!”

These quotes come directly from teachers who’ve hosted this presentation on their campus. Their feedback highlights what makes it stand out: expert knowledge, seamless coordination, and student-focused delivery that leaves a lasting impression.

Who’s Leading the Buzz?

Jeremy Campbell is a professional beekeeper, naturalist, and gifted educator. He’s cared for hives across Texas in both urban and rural settings and partners with farms, libraries, and schools to share his passion for pollinators.

What makes Jeremy’s presentations so impactful is his ability to meet students where they are. Whether explaining bee anatomy to a curious kindergartner or diving into ecology with sixth graders, he brings thoughtful answers, engaging stories, and a genuine excitement for helping others connect with the natural world.

His wide-ranging background—including international experiences and a love of language—adds a fresh perspective that resonates with both students and teachers. Above all, he believes learning should be accessible, meaningful, and a little bit fun.
